Once again the Society took part in St. Edward’s Church Christmas Tree Festival and I do hope as many of you as possible were able to visit the Festival over its 4 days (8-11 December).
Society member, Val Simmons, very kindly volunteered to decorate our tree and we decided on a theme of “A Victorian Christmas.” The tree looked absolutely stunning and the fragrance from the pomanders she had been busily preparing (and leaving in her airing cupboard since August!) was just beautiful – so our sincere thanks once again to Val for all your hard work and thought in making our tree so delightful.
Every tree had to be removed from the Church at the end of the Festival and the Society decided to offer our tree to stay in St. Edward’s Hall over the Christmas and New Year period where it had the chance to be seen and admired by another appreciative audience.
