Town Walks

New Title

STOW TOWN WALKS

Why not spend a Sunday morning on a stroll around Stow learning how it has evolved over the centuries.

Stow Town Walks

Every Sunday morning at 10:30am (until the end of September)

Starting at the stocks, Stocks Green in the Square.
75-90-minute gentle walk around central Stow.

The walks start in the Square with an introduction and an explanation of how Stow has evolved through history. Moving around the Square you will learn about some of its architecture and how markets have driven the character of the town.

Walking around the town we cover topics such as the importance of sheep, transport, brewing, education, the church and of course about Stow’s role in the English Civil War.

The tour is of an historic nature run by members of the Stow & District Civic Society and is interactive, flexible and light-hearted with some anecdotes about local characters.

Places are limited so to avoid disappointment please pre-book if possible by emailing the Society.
